Malaysian civil service salary by grade (SSPA)
Government pay in Malaysia is set by grade, not advertised by employer. Under the Sistem Saraan Perkhidmatan Awam (SSPA), the public-service pay system in force since 1 Disember 2024, every grade has a fixed minimum-to-maximum monthly range. Two groups cover the service: Kumpulan Pengurusan dan Profesional(Management & Professional) and Kumpulan Pelaksana (Implementing). The tables below are the official ranges.

How to read your own pay
Your monthly salary depends on your grade and where you sit within its range. A grade’s minimum is the entry figure; you move up the range through the annual increment (Kenaikan Gaji Tahunan). Which grade a job carries is set by its scheme of service, for example a graduate Administrative Officer (Pegawai Tadbir dan Diplomatik) enters at Gred 9.
Which grade a common role carries is set out below. Police, army and fire services sit under their own pay systems, separate from this civilian schedule.
